One of the greatest inventors in history is Thomas Alva Edison. Edison was an inventor thats famous for perfecting the light bulb and making the phonograph. He even got 1,093 patents through out his life. But even though he was a great inventor, we belive he took credit for others.

The Lightbulb
One of his most famous inventions was the light bulb.Thomas Edison did not create the light bulb but the filament that is inside of the light bulb.The idea of the light bulb was already about 50 years old. Few people in Edison's time worked on the light bulb or electric industry. Edison also discovered a way to connect a whole circut and how to have lights all over the house or business. It took Edison 1and 1|2 years to create a bulb that works for 13 and 1\2 hours.
The Phonograph

Edison's first major inventoin was the Phonograph it was made in Menlo Park. He connected 2 of his other inventoins with wires.He figured out that at high speed it is possible to hear spoken words He him self was supprised that he was able to hear a message he sent to him self.

With out that people wouldn't be able to contact friends or family very often. Without great inventors like Thomas Edison the world would not be where it is today with electronics many other divices or lights.
